All contributions to Power System Technology (PST) are handled according to the following process:
- Contribution Receiving: After a contribution is received, it will be numbered by the editorial assistant, and then be submitted to the related editor;
- First Review: The editor checks the contribution on the following aspects: whether the content is complete, whether it meets the aim, coverage and requirements of our journal, whether the length of the contribution is suitable and whether images in the contribution are clear. Contributions, which do not meet these requirements, will be returned to the author(s) for modification. The modification period is limited to 2 weeks;
- External Review: The contribution is submitted to the expert in the corresponding field to review;
- Second Review: The editor provides the treatment suggestion according to advice from the expert;
- Final Review: The contribution is reviewed by the editor in chief;
- Editing: The editor processes the contribution carefully according to the publication requirements of our periodical;
- Typesetting and Proofreading: The typesetter create the galley proof and proofreads the contribution;
- Examination: The editorial director carefully examines the contribution that has been processed;
- Author’s Proofreading: The author(s) checks and confirms the galley proof;
- Release: The contribution is going to be published;
- Publication: The contribution is published on schedule.
Contribution Rejection
Processors of stages 1 to 5 can give rejection suggestion. And processors of other stages can also suggest rejection if a major problem is found. After the Chief Editor makes rejection comments, the author(s) will be notified that the contribution does not pass the examination and is rejected accordingly.
Contribution Acceptance
After stage 5 is complete, the editor will notify the author(s) via E-mail that the contribution has passed the examination and it should not be submitted to other periodicals or the like. The written notification will be sent to the author(s) together with the galley proof in stage 9. In the written notification, all authors’ names are given in an order, which is exactly the same with that of names in the published article. After this acceptance notification is sent out, content of the contribution, authors’ names and order of the names cannot be changed any more. If a big change needs to be made, the contribution will be treated as a new one and be processed from the very beginning.
About Checking of Galley Proof
The published article is based on the version of the contribution, which is confirmed by the author(s). After the authors’ confirmation is received, the layout may be altered according to needs of design, but the content will not be changed in normal conditions. If there is any change in the content, it will be sent to the author for confirmation again.
Handling Time
The editorial department will inform author(s) of the examination result within 02 Weeks since the receiving of the contribution. The period during which the author(s) modifies the contribution is excluded from the handling time. If the author(s) does not receive the examination result within 02 Weeks, he/she can inform Power System Technology (PST) and ask for the update on the manuscript.
After the galley proof is checked and approved by the author, Power System Technology (PST) will arrange to publish it in 02 Weeks.
